Job Description

takealot.com is seeking a Hub Manager to join their delivery team in Cape Town. The Hub Manager will be responsible for the dispatch, receipt, and management of parcels within Logistics, focusing on strict timelines, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the overall running of the facility.
• Ensuring operations costs are within budget.
• Ensuring on-time delivery of product to/from the distribution center.
• Implementing and utilizing systems for accurate product identification and distribution.
• Ensuring efficient warehousing and timely movement of product.
• Extracting data and generating performance tracking reports.
• Ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures.
• Training and supervising employees.
• Maintaining health and safety standards.
• Promoting orderliness and cleanliness.
• Identifying value-creation opportunities.
• Collaborating with senior management and HR to resolve issues.
• Overseeing maintenance and repairs of machines.

Requirements:

• Results-driven with experience in a high-performance environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle pressure.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of business principles.
• Matric qualification.
• Tertiary qualification advantageous.
• 4-5 years of Logistics experience.
