Job Description
Babylist is seeking a Forklift Operations Lead for their Weekend Shift team at the Fulfillment Center in Commercial Point, OH. This role is ideal for a seasoned forklift operator with leadership aspirations. The Forklift Operations Lead will be responsible for operating lift equipment, guiding teammates, and ensuring safety on the warehouse floor. While not a direct management position, the role involves serving as a leader, problem solver, and role model.
Role Involves:
- Operating forklifts (reach truck, cherry picker, stand-up, sit-down)
- Leading by example in safety, accuracy, and productivity
- Supporting inbound and outbound operations
- Guiding and supporting teammates
- Training and mentoring new operators
- Reporting delays, safety issues, or operational needs
- Maintaining equipment
- Ensuring a clean and safe workspace
Requirements:
- 5+ years of forklift experience
- Proficiency with cherry picker, stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, and reach truck
- 6+ months in a warehouse lead or trainer role
- Safety-first mentality and familiarity with OSHA standards
- Reliability and responsibility
- Clear communication skills
- Adaptability and calmness under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Team-focused attitude
- Eagerness to grow and take on more responsibility
