Senior Security Sales Engineer, Public Sector

Job Description

Tenable is seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Security Sales Engineer to join their Public Sector team. This role is crucial in driving sales success and enhancing customer experience through technical expertise. The Senior Security Engineer will work alongside Sales Representatives to differentiate Tenable from the competition, build lasting customer relationships, and create enthusiastic advocates for their solutions. This role primarily focuses on Federal Civilian Agencies, as well as the broader U.S. Public Sector.Role involves:

• Delivering technical demonstrations of Tenable’s platform products.
• Managing enterprise software trials and "Proof of Value" evaluations.
• Addressing customer challenges and business needs with consultative security and compliance expertise.
• Answering technical questions and providing insights at events and conferences.
• Supporting sales representatives to achieve revenue targets and responding to RFIs and RFPs.
• Building relationships with customers, partners, and peers.

Requirements:

• Technical expertise in architecting solutions for vulnerability assessment across IT, Cloud, and OT/IOT infrastructure.
• Understanding of Cyber Security & Industry trends.
• Familiarity with the Cyber Security ecosystem both on-prem and in the Cloud.
• Knowledge across major cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of international & local compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong team player skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%).
• 3-5 years of experience in a related technical or pre-sales role.
