Job Description
Oklo Inc. is seeking a Director of State and Local Government Relations to develop and implement a national state and local policy framework for advanced nuclear energy. This role involves engaging with stakeholders in key markets and representing the company with senior elected officials. The Director will report to the Head of Government Affairs and work closely with Oklo’s executive leadership team.Responsibilities:
  • Build a state and local government relations strategy.
  • Monitor and advocate for legislation and policies in state capitols.
  • Implement a 50-state legislative monitoring system.
  • Support grass roots and grass tops efforts.
  • Build strategic partnerships with community organizations.
  • Coordinate visits by elected officials.
  • Build strategic relationships with state and local elected officials.
  • Support facility siting processes.
Requirements:
  • Two to five years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating consultants.
  • Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time.

Oklo

Oklo Inc. is focused on developing fast fission power plants, delivering clean and affordable energy at scale. The company is also establishing a domestic supply chain for critical radioisotopes and advancing nuclear fuel recycling to convert nuclear waste into clean energy. Oklo has secured a site use permit from the U.S. Department of Energy for a commercial advanced fission plant. It was awarded fuel material from Idaho National Laboratory and submitted a combined license application for an advanced reactor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
