Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC) is seeking an experienced Commercial P&C Excess Underwriter to join their team. This role involves reviewing insurance applications, evaluating risks, and determining appropriate coverage and pricing based on established underwriting guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting non-platform risks, particularly in construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing.ISC is looking for someone who is passionate about their work and committed to delivering their best every day. The Underwriter will play a crucial role in maintaining profitability goals, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and cultivating relationships with producers.Responsibilities:

• Adhering to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies.
• Accepting, rejecting, or mitigating risks based on authority level.
• Reviewing and analyzing risk characteristics on applications.
• Documenting underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Offering recommendations to clients on insurance applications.
• Collaborating with the underwriting team to finalize applications.
• Utilizing databases and specialized software for data verification and risk comparison.
• Responding to customer needs and providing tailored guidance.
• Processing accounts from approved quotes to policy issuance.
• Recommending ideas for program development and process improvement.
• Assisting in the development of the Underwriting team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of underwriting or related insurance experience.
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, Property & Casualty Brokers License, etc. a plus.
• Commercial casualty underwriting experience including excess.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software.
• Ability to work collaboratively and embrace change.
