Senior Director, Marketing and Business Development, China- Liquid State

The Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development at Liquid State will spearhead project marketing plans to boost music performance across streaming platforms and craft a digital creative vision for the label's artists. This role is central to music release development, artist branding, content creation, and business growth. The Senior Director will lead the China marketing team, enhance streaming market share, and foster new business and artist development.

What this role involves:

• Leading music release projects with the China marketing team.
• Planning development strategies for artists.
• Building relationships with DSP and media partners.
• Discovering TV and show opportunities for artists.
• Driving new business development and increasing revenue.
• Maintaining relationships with international artists and localizing marketing strategies.
• Leading the marketing budget and overseeing campaign effectiveness.
• Working with A&R teams to discover potential song releases.
• Securing licensing projects.
• Guiding the China marketing team.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience in music labels in Mainland China.
• Artist management experience is a plus.
• Native Mandarin speaking with advanced English communication skills.
• Experience working or living abroad is a plus.
• Knowledge of developing local artists.
• Understanding of the music business in mainland China.
• Familiarity with local streaming platforms.
• Social media savvy (Douyin, Kuaishou, Tiktok, Instagram, Weibo, Bilibili, Snapchat).
• Experience with music promotional campaigns on Douyin.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Leadership and team player skills.
• Bilingual (Chinese & English).
