Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a 6-month contract position with the potential for full-time conversion. The Payroll Coordinator will be a crucial member of the Payroll Team, ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate payroll operations. This role involves processing semi-monthly payroll runs, assisting with the implementation of new processes and controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies as the company grows domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in processing and submitting semi-monthly domestic payroll.
  • Partner with the People Team to ensure successful onboarding of new employees.
  • Assist with documentation and process improvements for the payroll process.
  • Assist with 401K and other benefits administration.
  • Handle special projects involving Verkada’s payroll-related data and processes.
  • Review and reconcile timesheets
  • Monitor and manage payroll team inbox; triage and resolve inquiries promptly

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree (degree in finance or business administration a plus).
  • Relevant experience in a payroll or finance role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Experience with Non-Exempt Payroll preferred.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll strongly preferred.
