Grammarly, a leading AI writing assistance company, is seeking a Manager of Business Development to join their Sales Leadership team. This role involves managing an existing team of BDRs and optimizing their performance to support growth goals. The Manager will integrate best-practice lead development motions with marketing and sales workflows.
Role Involves:
- Managing a North American BDR team.
- Establishing command over the product.
- Understanding core BDR metrics and drivers.
- Establishing operating cadence and reporting for day-to-day execution.
- Implementing initiatives targeting improvements in BDR productivity.
- Optimizing and enhancing productivity per representative and team.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in SaaS and experience leading sales teams.
- Inbound and outbound experience, capturing opportunities that generate new business and expansion revenue.
- Experience with VP+ prospects in addition to middle management (director/manager).
- Ability to conceive of and execute outbound lead generation campaigns.
- Knowledge of how to sell on business value rather than a feature list.
- Experience using systems (e.g., CRM) for pipeline management, lead routing, pipeline projection, and related tasks.
- Ability to consider, play out, and weigh alternative scenarios based on strategic objectives.
- Ability to set and pursue aggressive short- and long-term goals.
- Ability to develop and deepen relationships with people.
- Ability to meet in person for team collaboration weeks, traveling if necessary.
