FinOps Associate (Revenue Assurance Associate)

Job Description

Ozow is seeking a FinOps Associate to manage reconciliations and controls for accurate merchant settlements, pay-outs, and Ozow float management. The FinOps Associate will also handle system to account reconciliations for Ozow's aggregation and float bank accounts. This role involves working within the Finance team to expand the FinOps function as Ozow grows in South Africa. The ideal candidate will analyze and create solid reconciliations, collaborate across departments to prevent revenue and financial leakage, and assist with month-end reporting.

Role Involves:
• Managing reconciliations and controls for accurate merchant settlements and pay-outs.
• Handling system to account reconciliations for Ozow's aggregation and float bank accounts.
• Analyzing and creating reconciliations to prevent revenue and financial leakage.
• Collaborating across departments to ensure high-quality products for clients and consumers.
• Assisting the finance team with providing reconciled and validated data for month-end reporting.

Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
• A sense of ownership and pride in performance.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Good time-management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in the FinTech industry (Pay by Bank, Card acquiring & Crypto advantageous).
• SQL experience will be advantageous.
