Job Description

Spaulding Ridge is seeking a Snowflake Architect to design, implement, and test modern analytic solutions. The role involves working closely with client partners and architects to deliver tangible business outcomes. The Snowflake Architect will manage the data engineering lifecycle, collaborate with team members, and build proof of concepts for cloud-based business systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the data engineering lifecycle
  • Collaborating with team members to design and implement technology
  • Building proof of concepts for modern analytics stack
  • Team management and mentoring junior resources
  • Creating actionable recommendations
  • Communicating and demonstrating understanding of client business needs
  • Collaborating with other architects on solution designs

Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ experience developing business intelligence and analytic solutions
  • Thorough knowledge of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modelling
  • Experience in writing advanced SQL
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience on DBT (Data Build Tool)
  • Experience working with DBT on modern databases like Snowflake / Amazon Redshift / BigQuery / Databricks
  • Experience setting up DBT projects and managing data models
  • Proficiency in version control systems and CI/CD
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker
  • 2+ years of Business Data Analyst experience
  • 2+ years of experience writing Business requirements, Use cases and/or user stories
  • 2+ years of consulting experience working on project-based delivery using SDLC
  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases
  • 2+ years of experience creating functional test cases and supporting user acceptance testing
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile/Kanban/DevOps Delivery
