FPGA Developer

Job Description

XTX Markets, a leading algorithmic trading firm, is seeking an FPGA Developer to join its new FPGA team in London. This role involves taking ownership of projects previously developed by the ETD team, focusing on extending existing platforms and developing new ones to drive additional revenue for the firm. The team will collaborate closely with the London-based ETD and the Bristol-based ASIC development teams.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hardware design principles and be able to translate high-level functional requirements into efficient hardware architectures.

Role Involves:

• Extending existing platforms and developing new ones.
• Planning, optimizing, and implementing FPGA architectures.
• Working with Verilog/SystemVerilog, Cocotb, and Verilator.
• Collaborating with ETD and ASIC development teams.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Understanding of modern FPGA architectures.
• Knowledge of high-speed serial Interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, USB 3.1, Fibre Channel).
• Ability to design efficient, resource-conscious circuits.
• Familiarity with Cocotb is preferred.
