Biorepository Technician I

Job Description

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Biorepository Technician I to assist in the shipment, receipt, retrieval, and preservation of biological samples. The technician will work in Frederick, MD, USA.

Role involves:

• Monitoring freezers and responding to alarms.
• Receiving and unpacking specimens, recording information, and storing them appropriately.
• Managing inventory of frozen biological samples, including scanning, correcting paperwork, and reporting discrepancies.
• Retrieving and shipping frozen samples, performing quality control, and completing necessary documentation.
• Labeling vials and shipping boxes.
• Maintaining IATA Shipping Regulations certification.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of general working experience.
• Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Excel.
• Ability to lift and carry between 31-50 lbs.
• Fluency in English.
