Job Description
Whatnot is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Notifications Platform team. This role involves building and scaling core platform components for notifications delivery and audience targeting. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to lead platform projects and mentor junior engineers. This role is located in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, or New York hubs.
Responsibilities:
- Architecting, building, and scaling core platform components of notifications delivery.
- Improving developer experience and platform observability.
- Collaborating with PM and other ICs to lead platform projects.
- Mentoring/upleveling other junior engineers on the team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience building platforms and large-scale systems.
- High quality of engineering designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently.
