Engineering Manager, Orders

Job Description

Blockchain.com is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Orders team, based in London. This role involves leading a team responsible for the company's quoting and ledger platforms. The Engineering Manager will ensure the reliability and scalability of the orders platform, optimizing buy/sell and swap flows. They will collaborate with various teams, including Finance, Product, and Engineering, to ensure seamless integration and effective execution.Role involves:

• Ensuring the reliability and scalability of the orders platform.
• Upholding code quality standards and conducting code reviews.
• Collaborating with custodial, payments, and institutional teams.
• Monitoring buy/sell/swap performance metrics.
• Guiding the team in debugging and incident resolution.
• Implementing and promoting observability best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in high-performance systems.
• Strong software engineering and system architecture knowledge.
• Experience with JVM languages (Kotlin, Java).
• Familiarity with integrating third-party systems and services.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
