Job Description
Anthropic is seeking a Data Analytics Engineering Leader to build and lead the Analytics Engineering team. This team is responsible for creating the foundation that enables data-driven decision-making across the company. The Data Analytics Engineering Leader will oversee the development of scalable data solutions, manage a team of analytics engineers, and work closely with stakeholders across Data Science, Engineering, Product, GTM, and other areas.Role involves:
- Leading and scaling the Analytics Engineering team.
- Defining and executing the strategic roadmap for data infrastructure.
- Overseeing the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines.
- Partnering with Data Science, Engineering, Product, and GTM leadership.
- Establishing and maintaining high data integrity standards.
- Driving the development of foundational data products and dashboards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to influence product and GTM roadmaps.
- Fostering a culture of technical excellence and data-driven decision-making.
- Managing resource allocation, project prioritization, and team capacity planning.
- Serving as a technical thought leader for data modeling and analytics infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing analytics engineering or data engineering teams.
- 10+ years of total experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar data-focused roles.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse architecture.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong technical foundation with expertise in SQL, Python, dbt, and modern data stack tools.
- Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and GTM leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership.
- Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience scaling analytics functions from early stage to maturity.
- Track record of establishing data governance and quality standards.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
