Anthropic is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Public Sector Engineering team and contribute to the Claude for Government initiative. This role involves developing enterprise software solutions with high security, compliance, and scalability for public sector clients. The Software Engineer will play a crucial role in enabling federal agencies to use Claude safely and effectively.Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring engineering practices meet government requirements.
• Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions compliant with FedRAMP High and IL5.
• Developing automated compliance tooling and monitoring.
• Creating identity management solutions with SSO and role-based access controls.
• Implementing security features like audit logs and encryption.
• Designing scalable systems for enterprise deployment and user management.
• Collaborating with product teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Building industry-specific solutions for the public sector.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development skills.
• Experience with identity management, SSO, and enterprise security standards.
• Familiarity with government compliance frameworks.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software.
