Job Description
Schonfeld is seeking a Core Operations Associate to join their team in London. This role offers a great opportunity to work within a global multi-manager platform, collaborating with experienced professionals to implement best-in-class operational procedures. The Core Operations Associate will tackle challenging operational issues within the hedge fund industry.
What this role involves:
- Performing T+1 position, trade, and cash reconciliations between internal systems and Prime Brokers for various financial instruments.
- Reviewing external fund administrators’ T+1 reconciliations and assisting with investigations.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve breaks.
- Collaborating with Technology, Trade Support, Middle Office, Prime Brokers, and service providers to resolve operational issues.
- Working on strategic initiatives alongside senior team members and management.
- Defining operational procedures and recommending process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a trading operations role.
- Strong product knowledge of financial instruments.
- Experience performing reconciliations and resolving breaks.
- Experience working with large datasets and using Microsoft Excel functions.
- Experience with OMS/accounting systems and external affirmation platforms.
