Job Description
Morse Micro is seeking an experienced IT Service Desk Engineer to join their IT team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be the go-to IT person for Morse Micro’s 150+ Engineering Team, playing a critical role in a deep-tech company. This role reports to the Head of Information Technology and offers opportunities to work with AWS High Performance Cloud Computing and support a deep tech lab infrastructure.
- Provisioning, maintaining & supporting end-user devices (Windows / Mac / Linux)
- General IT network infrastructure support (Palo Alto / Aruba / Unifi equipment)
- Monitoring Linux systems and troubleshooting performance and availability issues
- Basic network troubleshooting and maintenance
- Responding to client problems (tickets) and proactively monitor client’s installations
- Triaging tickets, updating users, escalating issues
- Maintaining zoom and other audio & visual / conferencing equipment
- Monitoring and reporting on backups and other logs
- Network printer installation and maintenance
Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in IT support / service desk or related role
- 1-2 years experience Linux Desktop experience
- Basic IP Networking experience (Including WiFi)
- Knowledge of working with Audio visual systems
- Experience working in a ticketed help desk system
- A “Can-do” attitude and problem solving
- Proven ability to schedule work load
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Scripting experience
- Ability to converse with a highly technical user base
