Lightspeed is seeking a Manager, Data Strategy to lead a team of Data Strategy Specialists. This role involves guiding the team in identifying, executing, and scaling high-impact data initiatives across the business. The Manager will combine analytics expertise with leadership skills to foster innovation and business partnership within the Data Office.Lightspeed is looking for someone to shape the roadmap for the Data Strategy team and inform the strategic direction of the Data Office, aligning with senior leadership to drive measurable value.Role involves:

• Leading a team of Data Strategy Specialists.
• Setting strategic direction for the team.
• Prioritizing workload and project pipeline.
• Mentoring and supporting team members.
• Ensuring collaboration across teams within the Data Office.
• Establishing best practices for project scoping and stakeholder communication.

Requirements:

• 6–8 years in data-focused roles, including 3+ years of people management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing data teams.
• Deep experience in analytics, data science, or data strategy.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic mindset with intellectual curiosity.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics programming language (e.g., Python or R).
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud environments, and visualization tools.
