Senior Manager, Solutions Engineer / Solutions Architect (Pre sales Manager) - Japan at GitLab

GitLab is seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Architect / Solutions Engineering to join their team in Japan. This remote position requires candidates to be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Japan. The Solutions Architecture / Solutions Engineering team's mission is to drive customer success through technical and business consultation, becoming trusted advisors to prospects, customers, and partners.

The Manager will collaborate on unique requirements, identify improvements in go-to-market approaches, and prioritize strategies to address market needs. They will work closely with product teams to achieve required outcomes and report to the Japan Country Manager.

The role involves:

• Understanding and evangelizing GitLab's vision, strategy, and values.
• Growing a highly effective team through hiring, coaching, and retention.
• Providing continuous feedback to team members, peers, and leaders.
• Being accountable for overall team execution and tracking KPIs.
• Providing clear communication on essential matters.
• Guiding by example while performing solution architect responsibilities.
• Working closely with regional sales managers on strategy.

Requirements:

• Extends the Solutions Architect / Solutions Engineering requirements
• Experienced in mentoring people, including giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Experienced in collaborating with other managers and executing strategies
• Previous leadership experience is a plus
