Instructional Designer - Software Applications

Job Description

Anaplan is seeking a curious and technically skilled Instructional Designer to join their Platform Training and Certification team. The Instructional Designer will create impactful training that equips employees, customers, and implementation partners with the skills they need to effectively use Anaplan. They will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to craft engaging learning experiences that drive user adoption. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Platform Training.

• Become an expert in Anaplan modeling techniques.
• Stay current with Anaplan software improvements.
• Analyze software features to identify key learning points.
• Learn unreleased product content quickly.
• Conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts.
• Transform raw source content into instructional material.
• Continually improve training delivery based upon feedback.
• Assist Academy help desk in answering training content related cases.
• Be flexible with modality and time requirements to meet customer needs for training.
• Work within LMS and instructional design platforms.

• 5+ years' experience in instructional design.
• Proven experience designing and developing training materials for Anaplan or similarly complex software.
• Experience with learning tools, such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, video editing, graphic design.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Passion for learning, teaching, and constant improvement.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles, learning theories, and instructional methodologies.
• Ability to communicate concepts in a concise, logical manner.
• Flexibility to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.
