Job Description

Anaplan is seeking a Technical Solutions Consultant to join their pre-sales team in Minneapolis, MN. The Technical Solutions Consultant will lead technical discussions with prospective customers, guiding them through platform architecture, security, data integration, and compliance. They will act as a trusted technical advisor, facilitating IT approval and supporting the sales process. The consultant will collaborate with Account Executives, Product Management, and Security teams to align technical solutions with business value.

Role Involves:

  • Interpreting and aligning client IT/security needs with the platform’s capabilities.
  • Sharing information on key technical topics to alleviate concerns and attain customer IT/security signoff.
  • Acting as a communication bridge between technical teams and business units.
  • Working closely with Sales, Product Management, and Customer Success teams.

Requirements:

  • Native English speaker with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable leading technical conversations with small groups.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer-centric mindset.
  • 2-5+ years’ experience in technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or similar roles.
  • Background in technical implementations, engineering, network/server administration, or ETL (a plus).
  • Experience with enterprise planning software or similar solutions.
  • Experience with data integrations / architecture (SAP S/4HANA, ETL, and REST API)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
