Job Description

Alpaca, a US California-headquartered brokerage infrastructure technology company, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join their Application Engineering Team. The team is responsible for all interactive products within Alpaca's ecosystem, encompassing the frontends and backends of both operational software and user-facing applications. The Senior Full-Stack Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and services that form the foundation of Alpaca and empower millions of users.

In this role, the engineer will have the autonomy to architect and implement solutions that meet Alpaca's strategic objectives, working closely with users and internal stakeholders to deliver complete end-to-end solutions.

Role Involves:

  • Owning projects that push the boundaries of Alpaca’s products and systems.
  • Staying deeply connected to the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  • Driving the conversations on architectural decisions and product design.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to carry your projects from design to production.
  • Being responsible for the delivery of high-visibility and high-impact initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with Golang & TypeScript/React.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to collect and translate stakeholder requirements into fully realized features.
  • Proficient in TypeScript and React.
  • Proficient in HTML and CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS.
  • Proficient in at least one modern systems programming language like Golang or C#.
  • Passionate about creating intuitive and performance user interfaces.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with REST APIs and best practices.
  • Attention to detail and an appreciation for design aesthetics.
