Job Description
Altium is seeking an Enterprise Field Applications Engineer to support enterprise-level customers in adopting and optimizing Altium’s software solutions. The Enterprise Field Applications Engineer will work closely with sales, product teams, and customers to deliver technical guidance, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions that drive customer success. This role requires a deep understanding of PCB design, electronic engineering, and enterprise software deployment.

The role involves:
  • Serving as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers.
  • Providing in-depth product demonstrations, training, and technical support.
  • Collaborating with the Enterprise Sales team to identify customer needs.
  • Working with Product Management and R&D to relay customer feedback.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Developing and presenting technical content, including webinars and workshops.
  • Engaging with customer engineering teams to optimize workflows.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional language (German, French, Spanish, Italian)
  • 5+ years of experience in PCB design, EDA software, or a related technical field.
  • Deep knowledge of PCB design tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer and enterprise-level EDA solutions.
  • Understanding of PLM, ERP, and data management integration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to solving challenges.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with sales, product, and engineering teams.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers in an FAE or similar role.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based design collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation in EDA workflows is a plus.
