Job Description
Sezzle is seeking a Chargeback Analyst to support fraud monitoring. This role involves analyzing and responding to card and ACH disputes. The analyst will work closely with the fraud/risk and customer disputes teams, determining the best course of action for customers. They will also make recommendations to the Chargeback Manager on process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate disputed transactions and take action to resolve disputes.
- Work cross-functionally with relevant departments.
- Investigate individual transactions to identify patterns or trends.
- Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineering to improve loss prevention mechanisms.
- Maintain strong domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques.
- Maintain or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in processing chargebacks or investigating and resolving fraud incidents.
- Experienced in analyzing data and making impactful decisions.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong business judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision.
- Able to work through holidays.
