Geneva Trading is seeking a Quantitative Operations Engineer to enhance its operations. This role is positioned at the intersection of data engineering, AI/ML, and process automation, offering a unique opportunity to innovate and optimize systems that drive a global proprietary trading firm. The Quantitative Operations Engineer will work closely with operations, trading, risk, and engineering teams to identify inefficiencies, automate workflows, and develop tools that transform data management and interaction.This role involves:
- Designing and implementing tools and systems to automate manual workflows.
- Using large language models and machine learning techniques to extract insights and automate tasks.
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines for clean and reliable data.
- Evaluating and re-engineering existing applications to improve performance and scalability.
- Partnering with various teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Assisting with daily reconciliations and post-trade activities.
- Collaborating with the accounting department to provide detailed reconciliation reports.
- Handling ad hoc projects and requests.
- Providing real-time support to traders.
- Managing position transfers and assisting with trader onboarding/offboarding.
Requirements include:
- A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
- 1–5 years of experience in a technical, data-driven role.
- Strong programming skills in Python (or similar) with experience in building tools and working with APIs.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks.
- A demonstrated ability to solve complex problems creatively and independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
