Job Description
CarOnSale is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (w/m/d) to join their Legal team in Berlin. CarOnSale is one of Europe's fastest-growing B2B auction platforms for used cars. The company aims to make the used car trade more efficient, transparent, and fair through technology.
This role involves working closely with the General Counsel on various projects and taking overall responsibility for the creation, review, and negotiation of complex commercial contracts. The candidate will support the development and implementation of the commercial corporate strategy, ensuring that legal aspects are optimally integrated into business decisions. They will also support growth and internationalization by finding tailored solutions that drive the company's mission forward. The Senior Legal Counsel will be a sparring partner for the C-level and the Product, Operations, and Sales teams on legal issues related to the digital business model, including data protection. Collaboration with national and international law firms is also part of the role.

Role Involves:
- Creating, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.

Requirements:
- Fully qualified lawyer with above-average grades in both state exams.
- At least three years of professional experience in commercial law.
- Expertise in commercial law and the ability to communicate complex legal requirements in an understandable and practical manner.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Knowledge of IP/IT law and data protection law is an advantage.
- Experience in advising high-growth, VC-funded start-ups or scale-ups is a plus.
