Job Description
Ketryx is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of its software, which helps medical device companies bring their products to market faster. This is a hybrid role based in Vienna, requiring at least three days per week on-site. The Software Quality Engineer will collaborate with engineers to design robust automated tests, integrate them into CI pipelines, and ensure high-quality releases.
What this role involves:
- Collaborating with developers, product managers, and designers to define test scenarios.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end automated tests using Playwright, TypeScript, and Cucumber.
- Improving the test framework and contributing to the stability and scalability of the test suite.
- Participating in verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with product requirements and industry standards.
- Writing clear and thorough manual test cases when automation is not feasible.
- Supporting test execution in CI environments and helping investigate and debug test failures.
- Fostering a quality-focused culture across the engineering team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on test automation for web applications.
- Over 1 year of hands-on experience with TypeScript, or more than 2 years with JavaScript.
- Prior experience with test automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Familiarity with BDD practices, ideally using Cucumber.
