Sourcing Coordinator

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Sourcing Coordinator to join its Sourcing Team. This role is dedicated to providing service for Xometry's expanding group of global Partners and Customers. The Sourcing Coordinator will collaborate across departments to establish sourcing solutions for complex orders. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a focus on finding unique solutions.

The Sourcing Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions for challenging orders. This involves collaboration with internal teams, engagement with Xometry’s partner network, and collaboration with the customer to develop recovery plans.

Role Involves:

• Initial triage of orders by uncovering potential manufacturing and quoting issues.
• Identifying alternative sourcing strategies.
• Cultivating network relationships and proactively communicating capacity gaps / constraints.
• Working cross-functionally to devise recovery strategies.
• Being accountable for sourcing KPI’s (margin and time to resolution).

Requirements:

• Detail-oriented problem solver.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (C1).
• A desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously.
• Proficiency in computer skills (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Internet navigation).
• Basic knowledge of Solidworks, Salesforce, Looker, and Mechanical Print interpretation are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of client facing and vendor facing experience, preferably in the manufacturing space
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers
