Sourcing Coordinator

Job Description

Xometry, a company that connects people with manufacturers, is seeking a Sourcing Coordinator to join their Sourcing Team. This role involves providing service for Xometry’s global Partners and Customers. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a focus on finding solutions.

The Sourcing Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions for challenging orders. This includes collaboration with internal teams, engagement with Xometry’s partner network, and collaboration with the customer.

Role involves:

• Initial triage of orders by uncovering potential manufacturing and quoting issues.
• Identifying alternative sourcing strategies.
• Cultivating network relationships and proactively communicating capacity gaps / constraints across the network.
• Working cross functionally to devise recovery strategies for assigned orders.
• Accountable for sourcing KPI’s (margin and time to resolution)

Requirements:

• Detail oriented, problem solver with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations with minimal direction
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (C1)
• A strong desire to learn and grow within the company and the position
• Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously
• Proficiency in computer skills to include: Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides; and basic Internet navigation skills
• Basic knowledge of Solidworks, Salesforce, Looker, and Mechanical Print interpretation are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of client facing and vendor facing experience, preferably in the manufacturing space
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers
