Job Description
Nature's Bakery is seeking a Food Scientist to join their Product Development Team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is crucial for product development efforts across the company's product lines. The Food Scientist will be responsible for new product creation, line extensions, cost savings implementation, supplier qualification, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing new products from ideation to commercialization.
  • Applying technical expertise to identify and commercialize new ingredient technologies.
  • Performing ingredient evaluations and submitting case studies.
  • Designing formulas to meet customer specifications.
  • Collaborating with the R&D Manager and Engineering team to scale-up new products.


Requirements:
  • BS in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Prior bakery or food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food ingredients, processing, and sensory evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and understanding of Genesis for recipe creation.
