Job Description
Reddit is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join its Ads Measurement team. This role is focused on enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of Reddit's advertising platform through privacy-enhancing technologies, identity resolution, and modeled conversions. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end Ads initiatives, drive architectural decisions, mentor peers, and tackle technical challenges. This role involves working with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, data scientists, and ads specialists.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical strategy and architecture for the identity resolution system.
- Develop and refine ML models for probabilistic user matching.
- Oversee end-to-end ML workflows, optimizing for performance and cost.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define the roadmap and set long-term goals.
- Establish engineering best practices and data governance guidelines.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on ML-driven systems at scale.
- Experience architecting and building identity graphs or similar identity matching solutions.
- Strong knowledge of various identifiers and their use in identity resolution.
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Solid understanding of large-scale data processing and data infrastructure.
- Proven technical leadership in cross-functional settings.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
