Junior Clearing Operations Associate

Job Description

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Junior Clearing Operations Associate to join their Clearing Department in Budapest. This role involves trade and position reconciliation, settlement processing, stock loan transaction reconciliation, fail management, and client account transfers. The associate will operate, enhance, and test the company’s proprietary back-office systems, analyze transaction data, and assess operational risks. They will also interface with internal and external customers, counterparties, and clearing organizations, focusing on automated solutions to complex problems.Role involves:

• Trade and Position reconciliation
• Settlement processing and fail management
• Understanding Securities Lending
• Derivative clearing system monitoring and operating
• Coordinating with Clearing houses and Central securities depositories for maintaining the clearing system

Requirements:

• Commercial apprenticeship, preferably in banking or finance
• Experience, coursework, and/or a strong interest in the securities markets
• Proficient MS Office user with eagerness to learn new programs
• Fluent in English
• Detail-oriented and able to work accurately under pressure
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Open-minded team player with good comprehension skills
