Job Description
Cleo is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer - Ruby to join their team in Poland. Cleo is a fast-growing fintech company focused on improving people's financial health. The Staff Engineer will be part of a cross-functional product squad, collaborating with engineers, designers, and analysts to develop new features. This role involves technical leadership, mentoring, and contributing to the company's technical strategy.
What this role involves:
- Collaborating within a cross-functional product squad.
- Providing technical insight and leading delivery.
- Mentoring colleagues and supporting their development.
- Working on a Ruby on Rails monolith, building data models, APIs, and business logic services.
- Delivering work using agile methodologies and tools.
- Analyzing data to identify problems and generate new ideas.
- Supporting colleagues through in-hours support and optionally joining the compensated out-of-hours on-call rotation.
- Contributing to cross-cutting concerns that improve engineering efforts.
- Participating in product ideation, user research, and design reviews.
Requirements:
- At least 5+ years of industry experience using Ruby on Rails.
- Passion for improving the financial health of users.
