Job Description

Discord is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Growth team. The ideal candidate will help build features and systems that provide value to users and expand the Discord community. This role involves collaborating with Product, Data Science, Design, and other teams to create user experiences across Web, Android, and iOS platforms.Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. It's a multiplatform, multigenerational and multiplayer platform that helps people deepen their friendships around games and shared interests.What this role involves:

• Collaborating with leads and senior engineers to drive projects.
• Owning projects end-to-end, from requirements to execution.
• Building new features and expanding existing capabilities across Web, Android, and iOS.
• Developing a deep understanding of users and working with cross-functional partners.
• Working closely with design to deliver best-in-class user experiences.
• Rapidly prototyping new features and developing learnings through experimentation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with web (React, TypeScript), Android (React Native, Kotlin), iOS (React Native, Objective-C, Swift), and backend (Python and some Elixir).
• A growth mindset and a love for experimentation.
• Product sense and empathy for users.
