Payroll Specialist - Americas

Job Description

OpenTable is seeking a Payroll Specialist - Americas to join their Finance Team in Norwalk. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with hands-on payroll management and processing experience. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of North American payrolls, maintaining compliance with all payroll-related matters, and resolving payroll-related queries. They will also act as the in-house payroll subject matter expert and collaborate with HR Operations to ensure smooth data integrations. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of North American payrolls.
• Ensuring full compliance with all payroll-related matters and reporting requirements.
• Investigating and solving payroll-related queries and issues.
• Acting as the in-house payroll subject matter expert.
• Supporting projects and process improvements.
• Managing payroll service provider relationships.

Requirements include:

• Demonstrable interest and knowledge of payroll and related HR/Payroll and Accounting systems.
• Professional payroll qualification (CPP or equivalent) and/or professional accounting qualification.
• Significant proven experience in payroll processing.
• Strong technical payroll processing skills and a broad understanding of payroll compliance.
• Proven process improvement experience.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end payroll process.
• Proven ability to successfully collaborate with and manage payroll service vendors.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Solution-focused and hands-on with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks.
