Data Engineer

Job Description

Resident, a leader in the Direct-to-Consumer e-commerce space, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their data engineering team in Tel Aviv. The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in shaping business decision-making by providing data and insights to business units, identifying opportunities, and investing in advanced data modeling. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a business orientation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with analysts and the R&D team.Resident is looking for someone who can lead from technical to practical terms, deal with challenges, and contribute to the team's growth.What this role involves:

• Creating and structuring end-to-end data pipelines and ETLs based on business requirements.
• Developing creative technical solutions for industry data challenges.
• Translating business needs and technical requirements into custom-made data solutions.
• Writing efficient code and integrating CI/CD principles.
• Managing data standards, monitoring, and reliability processes.

Requirements:

• B.A / B.Sc. degree in a highly quantitative field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer querying data warehouses (SQL).
• Experience structuring data processes using quantitative techniques.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven experience in Python and Infrastructure in the data context.
• High analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Google Cloud Data tools (BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions) or parallel tools on AWS.
