Software Development Engineer (Java/Node.js)

Job Description

AppDirect is seeking a motivated Software Development Engineer to join their team in El Salvador. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of backend software engineering experience and a strong foundation in software development principles. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, agile environment and contribute to a global platform that impacts millions of users.

The Software Development Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining microservices within AppDirect's platform. They will collaborate with a senior engineering team, participate in legacy system modernization and new feature development, and take ownership of solutions from development to production.

• Develop, test, and maintain microservices within our global platform.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and/or Node.js/Next.js development.
• Experience with MongoDB and/or MySQL.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture (preferred).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, and automated testing (preferred).
• Fluency in English.
