Viator, a Tripadvisor company, is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to enhance the security of its travel experiences platform. This role involves leading the design and implementation of advanced security measures, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the security of Viator's products and infrastructure.Viator is a remote-first company, and this role can be based remotely in Portugal.What This Role Involves:

• Leading the design and implementation of advanced application security measures.
• Conducting in-depth threat modelling and risk assessments.
• Performing manual security assessments including code reviews.
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for security breaches.
• Developing and enforcing application security policies.
• Mentoring and training junior engineers.
• Providing expert advice on security architecture and design.
• Collaborating with engineering and product teams to integrate security requirements.
• Championing security initiatives.
• Staying up to date with the latest security threats and industry best practices.

What Viator is Looking For:

• Extensive experience in application security.
• Hands-on experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST).
• Strong understanding of advanced security concepts.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Proven leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• 4+ years experience working as a Security Engineer / Application Security Analyst.
