Handyman

Job Description

The Student Hotel is seeking a Handyman to join their team in Vienna. The Handyman will be involved in all aspects of maintenance and technology, both indoors and outdoors, working alongside the Asset Manager and Hotel Manager. They will be the first point of contact for guests and team members when a problem or disruption is reported. Role involves:

• Being the first point of contact for maintenance issues for guests and colleagues.
• Performing all relevant repair work in and around the hotel.
• Conducting maintenance checks.
• Coordinating with internal and external parties regarding technical and maintenance topics.

Requirements:

• Ability to prioritize and coordinate.
• Enjoys connecting with guests and colleagues.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Flexible and able to work flexible hours, including being available for emergencies outside of office hours.
• Eager to learn and share experiences with others.
• LBO/MBO level in working and thinking, with additional relevant training in maintenance/construction (possesses ‚VCA-basis‘ certificates).
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Very social and has a guest-oriented mindset; enjoys interacting with people from various backgrounds and wants to work in an informal but ambitious environment.
• Good command of German and can communicate at least in English.
• Enjoys working together with colleagues and guests!
• Eligible to work in Austria.
