Job Description
Ultima Genomics, a rapidly growing life sciences technology company, is seeking a highly motivated Facilities Technician. This is a full-time contracting position reporting to the Facilities Manager.
Role involves:
- Painting, remodeling, and refurbishing areas
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and amenities
- Preparing conference rooms for meetings
- Removing and disposing of recyclable materials
- Changing light bulbs and replacing ballasts
- Assisting with furniture and equipment installation/removals
- Performing facilities inspections and creating work orders
- Basic plumbing, carpet, baseboard, and ceiling tile installations
- Performing preventative maintenance on air compressors and DI water systems
- Overseeing daily trash removal and cleaning duties
Requirements:
- High school education or higher
- 5-10 years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service orientation
- Organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Self-motivation and ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and use power tools
