interface.ai, a leading AI provider for banks and credit unions, is seeking a Platform Engineer to enhance infrastructure delivery to development teams. This role moves beyond traditional DevOps, focusing on developer enablement and tooling.

The Platform Engineer will design and build internal platforms, frameworks, and interfaces to abstract infrastructure complexity, allowing developers to concentrate on feature building and code shipping. The role involves creating self-service tooling, easy-to-use abstractions, and maintaining scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain self-service tooling for developers.
• Create abstractions and interfaces (Web UIs, chatbots, CLIs) to simplify operational tasks.
• Architect and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
• Work within cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) to optimize performance and scalability.
• Build and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Manage API gateways, ingress controllers, and service mesh implementations.
• Establish centralized monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
• Implement cost management tooling and visibility features.
• Develop systems for ephemeral and on-demand environments.
• Support teams with infrastructure and tooling for A/B testing and canary deployments.
• Ensure platform tools comply with security policies and audit requirements.
• Gather feedback and iterate to improve the developer experience.

Requirements:

• Strong coding background in languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript.
• 5-9 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, Nomad).
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh, and rate limiting.
• Solid understanding of monitoring/alerting (Prometheus, Grafana), APM tools (Datadog, New Relic), and centralized logging (ELK, Loki, or similar).
• Experience managing costs in cloud environments.
• Proven ability to build interfaces and platforms (dashboards, chatbots, CLI tools).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in advanced prompt engineering.
