Job Description
Zepz is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Legal Team. This role is based in the UK but will support the global business. The Senior Legal Counsel will be involved in a variety of legal matters, providing advice and support to various departments within the company. This is a highly visible role that offers excellent exposure and growth opportunities.
Role Involves:
- Advising on regulatory matters and issues related to payment services.
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts.
- Leading product launches across global jurisdictions.
- Managing customer service issues and litigation.
- Advising on transactional and strategic projects, including M&A.
- Addressing general legal queries from stakeholders.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments in the financial services industry.
- Working with the Global Risk and Compliance teams.
- Developing legal templates and processes.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Excellent technical skills in drafting legal documents.
- Experience working with businesses in the payments/financial services sector.
- Knowledge of regulations relevant to financial services and payment institutions.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Commercial mindset and ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context.
- First-class interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
