AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join their Research Strategy Team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written English communication skills and a strong understanding of complex software, with experience in capital markets or finance being a valuable asset. This role is primarily remote, with an optional office located in downtown Vancouver, BC.
Responsibilities: - Write and edit product literature documents, including internal and external user guides for FinData APIs.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and product managers to understand specific products or processes.
- Create technical documents such as reference manuals, product manuals, and user guides.
- Assess audience needs and adjust tone and technical terms accordingly.
- Plan writing processes, set timelines, and meet deadlines.
- Develop diagrams, charts, and visual aids to enhance understanding.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and customers to improve technical documents.
Requirements: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, English, Business, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in technical writing, with experience in complex technical documentation.
