Job Description
AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join their Research Strategy Team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written English communication skills and a strong understanding of complex software, with experience in capital markets or finance being a valuable asset. This role is primarily remote, with an optional office located in downtown Vancouver, BC.Responsibilities:
  • Write and edit product literature documents, including internal and external user guides for FinData APIs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and product managers to understand specific products or processes.
  • Create technical documents such as reference manuals, product manuals, and user guides.
  • Assess audience needs and adjust tone and technical terms accordingly.
  • Plan writing processes, set timelines, and meet deadlines.
  • Develop diagrams, charts, and visual aids to enhance understanding.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and customers to improve technical documents.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and grammatical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, English, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in technical writing, with experience in complex technical documentation.
