Software Engineer II (fullstack)-Integrations

Job Description

SurveyMonkey is seeking a Software Engineer II (Fullstack) to join their Integrations & Connect engineering team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving challenging technical problems and collaborating with product owners and customers to build the best solutions. SurveyMonkey values new ideas and fresh perspectives to help grow the team and product.

The Software Engineer II will have top-to-bottom ownership of new features, including crafting technical specs, writing readable and extendible code, and keeping tabs on post-release metrics. They will also build observable systems that track important metrics and automatically notify when something is off.

Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining enterprise integration services across multiple data-regions
• Writing high-quality front-end and back-end code
• Participating in code reviews
• Investigating and addressing performance, scalability, and maintainability issues
• Mentoring and guiding engineers

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in web application development with full stack development experience
• Experience leading and shipping large-scale cross functional projects
• Expertise in designing and building world-class services and APIs
• Experience with REST/GraphQL and coding against internal/external services and APIs
• Experience with React and Javascript
• Experience with Python or Java and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask or Pyramid or Spring, Springboot
• Strong understanding and experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns
• Culture of code reviews, writing tech specs, and collaborating closely with other people
• Ability to work on in agile environments with frequent deployments
• Practices automated testing, believes and enforces good code quality and best engineering practices
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both co-located and remote engineers and cross-functional partners
