Job Description
Nexxiot is seeking a Head of Rail Sales & Business Development, Europe, to lead the growth and performance of the rail segment. This role involves owning the P&L, building a high-performing sales team, and closing deals with top-tier rail operators across Europe. The ideal candidate will drive the rapid growth of Nexxiot's IoT-based SaaS solutions, shaping the strategy and making a lasting impact.Responsibilities:
  • Propose and achieve annual revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Lead business development to win new high-value accounts.
  • Manage executive-level relationships with rail operators.
  • Position and sell IoT devices, sensors, and SaaS platform.
  • Track industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
  • Maintain a healthy sales funnel and deliver accurate forecasts.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of sales and business development experience in the rail sector.
  • Hands-on background in electronics or sensor technologies.
  • Established network and understanding of selling into rail operators.
  • Ability to sell cloud-based SaaS solutions and hardware-plus-software packages.
  • Familiarity with multimodal logistics and telematic systems.
  • Experience building or scaling a sales organization.
  • Strong negotiation skills in English and German.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
