GitLab is seeking a Senior Strategic Enterprise Account Executive to support strategic and large customers in Japan. The role involves selling the AI-powered DevSecOps Platform to enterprise accounts, particularly those in the Manufacturing and Electronics industries.
The Senior Strategic Enterprise Account Executive will report to the Japan Enterprise Area Sales Manager. This role requires the candidate to be based in Japan and not require visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to root cause analysis of wins/losses and sharing lessons learned.
- Managing assigned accounts and documenting buying criteria and processes.
- Ensuring pipeline accuracy and providing account leadership in pre- and post-sales processes.
- Conducting sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities.
- Collaborating with pre- and post-sales engineering and support resources.
- Representing the customer's voice by contributing product ideas.
- Traveling to customer sites for relationship building and closing deals.
- Generating qualified leads and developing new customers.
- Expanding knowledge of the industry and competitive landscape.
- Preparing activity and forecast reports.
- Updating and maintaining the sales database.
- Assisting sales management in conveying customer needs.
- Developing formal quotes, sales proposals, and presentations.
- Responding to RFPs and following up with prospects.
- Developing account plans to sell to customers based on their business needs.
- Building and strengthening business relationships.
- Recommending marketing strategies.
Requirements:
- Desire to see customers benefit from their investment.
- Experience in government major account management.
- Experience selling into government accounts with understanding of Manufacturing and Electronics customers.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects.
- Proven success in B2B software sales.
- Experience selling into large organizations.
