Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Staff Frontend Developer with a focus on Front-End technologies and expertise in Vue.Js. The ideal candidate will work on Lightspeed's flagship eCommerce product, owning the delivery of major features from design to production. This role is based in the Netherlands and offers the opportunity to shape how merchants and partners build on top of Lightspeed.

What this role involves:

  • Designing and evolving the extensibility layer of the platform
  • Building developer-facing tooling that enables full customizations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape technical direction and product experience
  • Mentoring and leading the team in key initiatives
  • Monitoring security updates and issues with Vue.js and project dependencies
  • Proposing upgrades and updates for modern security and development practices
  • Staying updated with developments in JavaScript and Vue.js

Requirements:

  • Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented JavaScript/TypeScript code
  • Proficiency with Vue.js framework and its core principles
  • Experience with modern development tools like Vite and Git
  • Experience with consuming and designing RESTful APIs
  • Full working proficiency in English
