Engineering Manager-Platform Engineering

Job Description

Ditto is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its platform engineering team. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Ditto's cloud infrastructure. The Engineering Manager will oversee the development of solutions for BYOC deployments, building multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and developing custom Kubernetes operators.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 6-10 skilled engineers.
• Recruit and grow talent through hiring, mentoring, and career development.
• Ensure the platform supports customer needs and provides SREs with necessary tools.
• Ensure high test coverage, rigorous engineering, and stellar documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and product managers to define roadmaps.
• Improve developer workflows through automation and CI/CD.
• Regularly ship platform updates and invest in automation.
• Set team culture by example, promoting trust, communication, and continual improvement.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to once a quarter.
• Experience with cloud platform development (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
