Job Description
Schonfeld is seeking a Market Data Manager to join their Market Data Services team in Hong Kong. The role involves sourcing, entitlement, and licensing of data from global vendors, brokers, and exchanges, supporting diverse investment strategies. The Market Data Manager will play a critical part in helping the firm identify and manage data sets across multiple asset classes and regions.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing new unique data sets across all strategies.
- Overseeing the full lifecycle of data onboarding.
- Vendor negotiation.
- Collaboration with legal and technology teams.
- Ensuring seamless integration of datasets into the firm’s centralized research platform and data warehouse.
- Develop strong relationships with portfolio managers and heads of business lines.
- Manage vendor relationships and stay current on vendor product offerings.
- Serve as the primary vendor contact.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of experience in financial services specifically dealing with market data.
- Deep understanding of multiple asset classes and strategies.
- Understanding the market data acquisition process and onboarding workflow.
- Experience in contract negotiation and relationship building.
- Familiarity with entitlement systems like DACS and EMRS.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Proficient in at least one regional language and fluent in English.
